I want to build a TT bike. I've got the short list down to.
Cervelo P2k
Van Dessel WR
Abici Time Machine
Hed V04
I like the design where the seat tube and seat post are aero. How much difference does it make. I like the look of the new Salsa GoGo, but it's got a round post. I know I can get that USE aero post, but it still goes from aero - round - aero.
I really like the looks of the time machine, but I don't really know a lot about them. They are aero, but are they really aero (See I've kinda bought into the "Not all aero tubes are aero" thing). Plus how does the seat post clamp?
I'm almost sure I'm going with the P2k. I could go P3, but for a grand more I could use that $1000 towards a SRM. (I've got a Power Tap now.)
I've just been racing, and when I do stage races and I have a TT, I just clip on some TT bars. This is the first time I've really got into the TT science. Lots of Gadgets, and I don't have a lot of cash, so I figure I'll dive in with a P2k, Rolf vector pro front wheel, HED Disc rear, Vision aero bars, and an Ultegra group. Compare that bike to a carbon p3 w/Dura ace and I don't see the performance curve contour the price curve so much.

I was interested in the pic
I had read that, but there's at gambler in me that says "Maybe I'll be fine". Actually the seat binder/Frame Crease has me going toward the Cervelo, but everybody has one.
