i'm going to finally buy a tt-specific helmet this year; does anybody know how i can figure out which one is fastest? there are several new ones on the market-- rudy project, limar, and of course the garneau. i'd appreciate any info or opinions.

I am currently using the Limar. I like it because it is superlight, breaths well, aero, and has a solid fit system, oh and it is fast! I also have the Louis Rocket helmet but it whistles and is very hot! And the jury is still out on the Rudy Project helmet, aka the Storm Trooper Helmet (a little Star Wars...). My vote LIMAR. I also own RNR this websites sponsor. We have those helmets in stock if you want I can ship one to you.

I currently use the "Storm Trooper" helmet from Rudy. I'm sort of obligated to use their stuff since I'm sponsored by them. It's pretty cool. I like the way the tail comes off into two points. It's not loud nor does it whistle. I have also used the older style Garneau and I like it also. Personally I don't think it matters all that much, just so you have a aero helmet. Some will disagree with me I'm sure but bottom line is they're wrong and I'm right!!! lol

My team is sponsored by rudy project... while the road helmet is great I really dont like the tt helmet, so I had my eye on the Limar. Until I had the chance to get my mits on on a Uvex (ala, Jan style). That helmet is by far the best tt helmet I have had... I've had both LGs and I have a lazer that is great but a little bit of a tight fit.
So my order is:
UVEX
Lazer
Limar

I got mine from a friend while he was in Europe. It's a little snug on me so I'm not using it anymore (it's only been used once). Let me know if your interested in it. It's Red and a sm/med.

Hey Tom
No it’s not and no you can’t. But I bet if you had one on one would stop you, unless you had a picky official. I buddy was trying to order one from the UK and they saw his address and told him they could not send it. So it must be a liability thing.
I’m going to New Zealand in April and I was thinking of finding one of new Bell’s or the Giro, but if I got one and then could not use it that would suck BIG!

I was thinking of buying a LAS. Does anyone have a comment on it? I would really love a Giro or a Bell but I wouldn't know where to get one and I doubt I'd be able to afford one.

I like the Limar aero helmet best. Not that I use it. I don't--at least not yet. I just like the Limar ads with the hot blonde chick.
