I never realized you guys loved me so much!
Your rider profiles were fun to read. Kam, when I pass you I will smack you on the ass
And Grant you will have to wait for my non-encrypted rider profile for all my secrets
See you at the races
Matt

Yes! Way to go, Matt! It's about time someone started talkin' some smack.
I was close to abandoning this forum altogether and just put myself to sleep reading old threads over at Slowtwitch on RotorCranks v. PowerCranks, but you're doing your best to make things interesting. Now, who's going to step up?

Ok, here's some smack: Fiesta Is., order of finish: Ford, Martin, Peterson, Telega, Heycke, Zardouzian, Hall, Allman. Imagine if I got that right! That would be something.

No, I don't think that I will. And that won't be for a lack of trying. With that new TT rig of yours I figure that you will be setting PR's the rest of the year! See you at the races

Here's some smack: I'm betting that I may actually get to ride Sunday morning--by heading down to San Diego sometime before 2:00a to stand in line for the same day registration.
I tried to sign up four weeks--FOUR WEEKS--before the event and it's closed out! Where are all these people coming from? TT'ing is supposed to be a sport for the lunatic fringe, no? Tell'em they're supposed to be sleeping in, making their 10:30a tee time, or going to church for heaven's sake--not taking my slot at F.I.
More smack: Matt--the check at breakfast, including yourself and anybody else* you want to bring, says I beat you** in Sundays T.T. ...How do you like me now?
Terms:
* "anybody else": defined as yourself and no more than four others--preferably light eaters.
** "beat you": the faster time between your time and my time with 10 seconds subtracted from my time for each year I exceed your age by more than 5 years.

OK, I am interested in the challenge. How old are you, I don't think I can count that high
perhaps you can do the math for me as all my energy will now be focused on beating you

Yeah, those terms Dave laid out are complicated
But even so, it seems like a good challenge ...

Ok, no response. I guess you're playing hardball. Give me 90 seconds.

Matt....no doubt you've gotten a bit faster, and David's always been up there in the numbers. But it really looks like Kam has made the most progress and will be my nemesis next season.
See ya for the 06/07' season.

Maybe I'll be fortunate enough for Kam to move into 1/2/3 like you did....atleast that'd give me a chance to take M30+ for my last year in the category before having to acknowledge I'm hitting the "4-decade" group......

Gary,
Speaking of profiles--I just read yours. I must say I thought you gave very interesting and thoughtful responses. HOWEVER, the guy asking the questions...well, he's a real piece of work--if you know what I mean. For example, asking you,
Q: Do you do anything special (besides the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for an important race?
Your answer was way too diplomatic. You should have said, "Listen, dude, what I do before a race is my own $!% business and none of yours. Besides, this is a family-oriented web-site!"
Beyond that, I must warn you to be careful of those 400 mile weeks that you're doing. Before you know it you'll be hooked and instead of partaking in the civilized and genteel vice of time-trialing, you'll be out there doing hardcore stuff--like doubles, death rides, Furnace Creeks and those horrible, horrible FRENCHY addictions like Brevets and PBPs. Forget about life as you currently live it. Family, job, friends--they won't mean anything to you. No matter how much you ride, it'll never be enough. You'll just crave more--until the only half-coherent phrase that comes from your mouth is "RAAM, RAAM, RAAM."
Don't say I didn't warn you.
David
ps. BTW, what are doing in June, 2007? I might could use your help.

David...isn't PBP in August? What other sick event do you have in mind for June? I went through 3 of the 4 qualifiers for PBP in 2003 and poorly strategized my 600k....not too mention it was the same month as finals for Grad school.
