I have very good reason to belive several times in the Men 35+ category, including my own, were calculated and posted incorrectly. Wondering who else feels their times were posted inaccurately?
I am disappointed in the race and officials for brushing this off despite my continued efforts during the three day race to point to a problem. I know there were at least four other people who believe their times were wrong...some got it fixed and some did not. I realize there's nothing that can be done to correct the problem now, but in a perfect world I'd like the race organizers to look into this and make sure there is a more equitable mechanism in place if this sort of thing happens again in the future. it's not enough to just put this on the shoulders of USCF officials.
My time is at least 60 seconds off. I went 17:33 for the two laps around Fiesta Island. Not 18:33 as posted. I challenged the results and petitions to look into this with the USCF officials from the moment results were posted to the beginning of the crit race two days later to no avail.
Thanks.

18:33 seems to be consistent with your time the week before at Santiago.....I do agree with you though that it can be frustrating to get the officials/organizers to look at things when they have messed up.

17:33 would have put you 12 seconds faster than me, FWIW.

all Omnium TT times seemed slower than the Fiesta Island TT times. Not sure why. As long as it is consistent, its fine with me.
I have been looking into this for the last weeks.

Thanks for all your replies!
1. I didn't do Santiago the week before. I did the 40K at Fiesta and my splits were faster for the 40K than for the 2 lapper.
2. GT: yeah, 12 secs faster than you. I peaked for this event and although you are much faster this year than last, if you remember I have beaten you in the past! But, this isn't about me comparing my time to yours, it's about me knowing I went 60 seconds faster than the time posted for me, exactly the same as several other guys in my category including Michael Williams whose time was 60 seconds slower and with whom I challenged with the officials (we both approached the officials at the same time with the same issue).
3. It was cold early in the morning but was perfect when we went off. Temperature was not a factor.

BTW, as more evidence, I was only 4 seconds slower than you at Sunday's Fiesta and I dropped a chain on the last lap that cost me some time. I stand by my original post that the good folks at Omnium got my TT time wrong and did not want to address it.

Look, I had a bad race, you don't have to rub it in Kam. I could not sleep the night before, tossed and turned, hit the bottle of Jäger around 2am and finally passed out. See, I had this bad feeling that Matt "aka The Wrecker" Ford was going to show up that morning and sign in for day-of reg.
That guy scares the hell out of me, flames shoot off his Specialized when he whizzes by. No joke.

Sorry Kam...I didn't recognize your handle prior to my last post. I took the time you said that you had and looked up the rider's name, unfortunately for me there were two riders with the same time and I picked the wrong one when I looked at the Santiago results. Given all the facts now, I guess they did screw up the results!

No worries. Like I said, what's done is done. I'm not worried about it.
I do want to address a mistake by the timing company and officials so it can be avoided in the future. Frankly, my only disappointment is with the officials who continued to ignore my pleas after three days of speaking with them. I do feel as though they just brushed it off.
Anyway, if anyone feels their time was off please let me know. Perhaps we can figure out where things went wrong.
Thanks again,
Kam
