The million $$ question....
Given that I have limited resources, should I purchase a tt specific bike with a nothing special wheelset, or go big on a wheelset and mate it to a Specialized Robaix Pro with clip on's. I was looking at a Specialized Transition Elite. or an Ultegra Leader as bikes, or the Hed 3 or Hed Jet 60's, or Aerospokes for wheels.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

A TT frame is worth less in time savings than a set of wheels (disc/50+ mm front), however the TT fit is the most important element in the decision to purchase a TT bike or wheels. I suggest going for the Transition if it fits you, and then upgrade your wheels when you can.
