Clark owes me a headset, derraileur hanger, and fork. things that are kind of hard to build a frame without. To may a long story short, abici is great until clark has your money. Frame was 5 weeks after it was promised, and missing lots of stuff. He will not return calls to the abici bikes phone number. anyone have a way to get in contact with him?
thanks

I see that you have discovered the joys of buying an Abici. I had a similar experience. Ordered the bike in October and in January I finally cancelled the order. I never made contact with him even though I called numerous times, and never recieved confirmation that he even got my whole order. Have no idea how to contact him outside the normal phone numbers. Best of luck in your quest. I'm now the happy owner of a Javelin. Perhaps you should give them a call if you want your bike finished by nest TT season.

Perhaps someone from SDBC can pass you Abici's new contact information, as their elite team is sponsored by Abici. Best of luck, hope it works out soon for you.

Also, here is what happened to my Abici Time Machine, I did not torque the binder bolt down very hard, but after a year of installing and removing the seatpost, it seems that the aluminum at the seattube crease could not handle the stress of the expansion plug.

I have it from a reliable person(in the know) that Clarke was hit by a car last Jan. while riding his bike.
He may be having some issues getting phones answered and basic business done.
On the other hand some of the issues people have been having, may have happened before the accident.
I don't know... Just trying to shed some light...

A very disappointing experience, I wouldn't recommend dealing with anything Abici, NO customer service and NO warranty.
Be carefull out there.

I wish I had read this forum before I to had any dealings with Clark,
I don't care if its the best frame in the world. clark is a poor business person and does not know how to communicate.
He wants your money fast but it took him over 6 weeks to repsond with a bike when he initally indicated to ship within 2 weeks for delivery.
I have filed with paypal to get my money back. I don't see how clark can survive. I wonder if he even misrepresents the organization he claims to have on his web site. His phone does not even work.
Does he even build these frames or are they sub contracted out?
Very disapointed and lesson learned

Hit-And-Run -- The California Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who struck a bicyclist and fled. The hit-and-run took place Sunday afternoon in Lyons Valley Road in Jamul. According to CHP officials, a small truck struck Clark Metcalfe, 45, head-on. Metcalfe flew 100 off his bike following the impact. Incredibly, Metcalfe survived the crash and has been hospitalized with a broken leg and hand. The CHP is looking for a small truck with a silver cab. The vehicle has wooden stakes around the flatbed. Officials believe the truck should have damage to its front end. Read More...
