Recently discovered this site because a friend did the Fiesta Island TT on a recumbent
I'm curious about the power levels verses speed for upright bikes
as compared to the recumbents / streamlined recumbents
Anyone have power numbers to share? Mostly interested in the #'s from the TT series courses. But any information / dialog would be welcomed.
Thanks

It would depend on aerodynamics, weight and friction (extra recumbent gearing).
Anyone have any experience with using power on a recumebent compare to a TT bike?

Silly me
Does anyone have power averages from any of the So Cal courses so I can compare them to the averages I have from my recumbents?
With only 2 to 3 races a year for recumbents here on the left coast the oppertunity to collect data is somewhat limited.
So far the average speed has varied between 25 and 34 depending on the course and which bike I ride.
Average power is less then 200 watts usually 175 to 180
Average HR between 140 to 155
Is the Fiesta Island TT the only one open to recumbents?
Thanks
